When a man named Dmitriy Timchenko went shopping at a store with his friend, he had no idea he was going to witness a true show of friendship while he was there. He and his friend visited the store near their home located in Novorossiysk, Russia. Outside the store was a pit bull terrier that had been tied to a nearby fence. The dog was tied up by its owner, who was making a trip inside the store for groceries. But that information was lost on a stray dog on the street. The stray dog was very concerned for his new friend who was tied up and seemed to be concerned that his friend needed his help.
Dmitriy says that he has seen that particular stray dog on many occasions walking around town by himself. He said he has often observed the stray dog looking both ways before crossing the street and always utilizing the cross walk when he crosses the street. He is one smart dog. So, as Dmitriy watched closely he watched the stray dog approach the dog that was patiently waiting for its owner. As he got closer, he started to loosen the knot on the leash. He was determined and before long he was able to free the dog. The newly freed dog then joined his new friend and the pair ran off on an adventure together.
Dmitriy and his friend knew the freed dog was actually someone’s pet, so they went into the store to find the owner. An employee called the owner over the store’s loudspeaker and they were able to find her so she could get her dog back. It was all a big misunderstanding, but clearly the stray dog’s heart was in the right place. While no one really knows where the stray dog came from, Dmitriy says the dog seems to be healthy and still living his life on the streets.
