When she was just a tiny little puppy, a dog named Juniper and her siblings were found living in the Alabama woods by themselves. It is believed that their mother probably gave birth the pup in the woods and then the dogs spent their first days and weeks trying to survive. Their mother never returned for them, but luckily a human came along to help. The Brown Dog Coalition is a rescue group that works to save dogs from Alabama shelters and eventually, Juniper found a loving home.
Juniper’s owner, a man named Rich Droser, saw the puppy’s photo and just knew he and his family had to have the sweet dog with spots. The family adopted her as a puppy and it’s been two years that she has lived in their home. During that time, it is quite clear that Juniper the dog wants nothing more than to be near her family. While she began her life in the woods, that is all over now. Juniper just loves to cozy up with a warm blanket or a soft pillow. She’s often found snuggled up on the couch and just loves when her family joins her. Though she is a big dog, she loves to sit in her dad’s lap. One of their favorite things is to pile pillows and blankets on top of Juniper and she’s more than happy to oblige. She usually lets them pile up until she gets too hot or when she hears food.
It all started when Juniper got home from a day at the dog park. She was tired, so she laid on the couch and she didn’t move when a pillow fell on her. She seemed to enjoy it, so the family had a funny idea: how many pillows could they stack on her? They stacked a total of seven pillows on top and she didn’t move a muscle—in fact, she seemed to be enjoying the warmth. After her rough start to life, she’s just so happy to have a loving family!
