A bulldog named Bernie was adopted by his family when he was two years old and has been in their home for the last six years. In that time he has spent most of his days either sleeping or having the time of his life. When his parents got married recently, they wanted Bernie to be part of their big day. Instead of treating it like an important date, Bernie decided to be the life of the party. Bernie stayed inside for the ceremony, but decided to incorporate him into the rest of the day, including photos. They headed down to the water near their wedding venue, located in North Carolina. As soon as he spotted his parents and instead of posing for photos, he decided to have fun instead.
Bernie wanted to run and play in the sand and jump into the water as well. So that’s what he did: he jumped in the water and then rolled around in the sand on the beach. Their photographer just decided to go with it—taking photos of Bernie in action. Bernie was having the time of his life and had no intention of stopping just because photos were being taken for his parent’s wedding. As his antics went on, the couple could not stop laughing. Then, they looked up and realized their guests were also enjoying the show Bernie was putting on. All their guests had gathered on the deck watching and laughing along with the couple.
When it was time for the reception, Bernie went right along with them. He was ready to party with his parents and all the guests at the reception. Bernie was still having the time of his life, and had no plans to stop doing so anytime soon. He had a blast meeting everyone there, begging for scraps of food, and of course sitting on his mom’s feet. He may be a bit stubborn, but they love him very much and were so happy he could be part of their big day—antics and all.
