This Resilient Dog Keeps Going After Suffering Major Trauma

Everyone needs a little help sometimes and that remains true for this poor pup. It all started when the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital received a call from Passion for Pits. During this phone call, the animal hospital discovered that there was a three-week old Pitbull puppy who needed immediate surgery, which would result in the amputation of the dog’s leg.

At her young age, no one expected this puppy to pull through the surgery. She wasn’t even two pounds when she had her surgery. This gave her a huge chance of dying the moment she fell under the anaesthesia but luckily, she lived.

Now, the small Pitbull has been named Leena. Because she only has three legs, Leena leans a little bit to the side when she walks or sits (hence the name.)

No one knows what really happened to Leena or why she had such damage to her leg, but she now has a home forever. Leena is incredibly loved, and her story is an inspiration for anyone who has or has known a dog with disabilities.
