Mom Dog in Need of Home

April Livingston | December 17th, 2018

A stray dog named Juju has been through quite a bit in her life. Her story begins on the floor of a busy animal shelter in Texas, which is where she gave birth to nine puppies. The pit bull was then pulled from the shelter with her puppies by a woman named Mysti Boehler. Mysti started an animal rescue group who helps dogs in need, and Juju was one of those dogs. She was able to move to the rescue with her puppies so they could be in a warm, comfortable place to grow and thrive. Once the puppies grew up and were ready to leave their mother, they were all adopted into loving homes. But, there was one thing left to do: find a loving home for their mother, Juju.

Sadly, Juju has been waiting for over two years for someone to adopt her. Juju’s rescuers are so confused by her predicament. They are perplexed because the four year old dog is just about perfect. She loves other dogs and children and is very playful. Her favorite thing is to play with toys, but she also loves to play in and with water. One glimpse of the water hose and she can’t help her excitement: her tail starts to wag and she even starts to smile, too. She isn’t pick though; she’s happy to play in a baby pool or in the hose, whichever is available to her. But, when she isn’t playing in the water or with her toys, she wants nothing more than to be around people.

Each year around the holidays, Mysti has taken Juju home to spend time with her family. Juju gets plenty of extra love and treats, but what she really needs is a loving forever home. Mysti says their rescue group will happily travel outside of their home state of Texas for the right home for Juju.
