At Wayside Waifs Shelter in Kansas City, Missouri, a nineteen hour adoption event that was a huge success. There were so many people who attended the event and supported their efforts that it resulted in 203 animals being adopted into loving homes. There were dogs, cats, and even a guinea pig that got a forever home during the drive. Every dog in the shelter left, except for one. At the event’s conclusion all the dogs were in their new homes, but poor Kenny was still in the shelter—and now he was alone. Kenny was moved from the Louisiana SPCA to the Wayside Waifs because of overcrowding and no one really knows about the dog’s past.
One thing is for certain: no mater what happened previously, Kenny is a sweet, loving dog now. He really enjoys playing outside and running around and just loves to be around people. With his sweet personality and adorable looks, no one knows why Kenny hasn’t found his forever home. The staff at Wayside Waifs all love Kenny, who is so happy, friendly, and just all around a fun dog. He loves being around people and loves going on walks and hikes and just wants someone to give him a forever home. There is one restriction, though: Kenny needs to be the only pet in his new home and he does best without young children.
Kenny is a high energy and strong dog, so an experienced dog owner is also ideal for him. Ideally, his new family would be very active and athletic like him and have plenty of energy too. Kenny just loves to be around people, so he wants a family of his own to love—and he is sure to return the favor. Luckily, Kenny has no idea he was left alone, thanks to all the extra attention he has received from the staff. All he’s missing is a loving, forever home.
