While sometimes life might seem difficult and issues may seem insurmountable, there is always hope. For a sweet young puppy named Adam, this could not be more clear. He was discovered recently with 54 other animals in a desperate situation in Tallahassee, Florida. Adam had lost all of his hair, leaving him pink and covered in scabs due to an infection. The local ASPCA found him in quite bad shape, not only with physical ailments but also with a significant amount of stress and depression too. But rescuers were determined to save him and never gave up on him.
The ASPCA gave him a series of medicated baths and several rounds of antibiotics which helped his fur to slowly grow back with time. Soon after his fur came back, so did his sweet, outgoing personality. As this tranformation occured, it was right around the same time that Hurricane Irma was heading straight for the state of Florida. So, Adam was moved to the Providence Animal Center (PAC) in Pennsylvania so he would have a chance to be adopted into a good home. As luck would have it, that happened sooner than anyone could have imagined.
A couple named Pat and Chuck Feldman were looking to add a new four legged member to their family of children and dogs. When they found Adam, it was love at first sight and they knew he was meant to be a part of their lives. They were inititally worried that young Adam might be too energetic for their current senior dog Cooper, but as soon as Adam arrived in their home all their worries melted away. Cooper and Adam have become the best of friends very quickly, sometimes playing with one another but also spending some slower time snuggling and napping on the family couch. What a great story of a dog who went from a desperate situation to a loving, perfect home!
