Humane Society Tells Saga of Hank and his Hippo

There are many enthralling tales in the world that live in infamy for many years. Stories are what hold our society together in many ways, which is why the tale of Hank the dog and his beloved Hippo has left the Internet quite spellbound recently. The entire tale took place on Instagram and it was quite an incredible story, one that we really need to tell you from the beginning in order to do it the justice it deserves.

Our tale begins with a four year old Chocolate Labrador named Hank, who has a best friend that just so happens to be a stuffed hippo. The pair was inseparable and spent every moment together until a tragic accident caused Hippo to take a turn for the worst. It was so tragic, in fact, that Hippo required emergency surgery and the police were called in to sort out the matter. You see, Hippo and Hank are a bonded pair and when they arrived at the Fox Valley Humane Association the staff was sure to keep them together. But then Hippo was discovered in Hank’s room decapitated with his stuffing strewn about. The staff at the humane society performed life-saving surgery on the stuffed Hippo in hopes of “saving” him.

That’s where things got serious: who would do such a thing to Hippo? As the (formerly stuffed) Hippo recovered, the police were called in to “investigate” the case. Hank was interrogated and Hippo, who had a cone of shame after his surgery, visited with a therapist to discuss his situation. Hank even met with his Humane Officer-appointed attorney after accusations of “Hippossault” were levied against him.

Thought things were a bit touch and go for Hank throughout this ordeal, eventually he was completely cleared of all charges. Better yet, he was also adopted by a family recently and Hippo (who is now missing the stuffing in his head) came along with him!
