We all know that it can be a dangerous world out there, to be certain. Particularly, it is quite common to experience run ins with wild animals while on a nature walk or hikes in an area of Canada like the Banff National Park. The wilderness can be quite wild at times, which means it is incredibly important to exercise caution while outdoors in these sorts of areas. One such situation happened in this National Park recently, which has two owners thankful that they brought their trusty dog along with them for a hike.
It’s safe to say that a sweet dog named Momo is a true hero. This sprite young husky and shepherd mix is a very good dog after facing down a bear in a park in Canada recently. Momo and his owners and a friend were on a hike in Alberta Canada at Banff National Park when the unthinkable happened. The group was just off the Cascade Ampitheatre Trail when they turned a corner and spotted something quite scary: a large bear just ahead of them.
The group did what anyone would do and retreated back away from where the bear was located. Unfortunately for them, the bear followed them and began to charge at the group. Their dog Momo quickly sprang into action, however. The dog began to bark and growl and then took off after the bear to distract it while the group of humans made their escape. It worked: the group was able to get back to their car to call 911 for assistance.
So, what about Momo? She is doing just fine these days thanks to her protective nature. The dog walked away unharmed and is reportedly enjoying plenty of extra dog treats at home for her great work in protecting her humans from harm.
