This story begins with a little puppy named Oakley. This sweet little pup was down on his luck and was in a local shelter and just hoping for someone to take him in and give him a new home. Things changed very quickly for that puppy, thanks to a family that decided they wanted to adopt a dog. A woman named Lauren Malone and her family decided to adopt the puppy from American Lab Rescue, which pulls dogs from overcrowded shelters all over the country to give them a shot at a new life. Not long after the dog came home, the little puppy immediately bonded with Lauren Malone’s daughter.
Her daughter frequently held the puppy in her arms to pet and love on him, but it was when she began to cradle the dog and sing to him that things reached a new level of cute. Lauren posted the now viral video on Facebook and things took off from there. It has over 20 million views now, of people who just love the incredible bond that was formed between a puppy that no one wanted and a little girl who just loves her new companion. The family says that the dog Oakley fits right in with their family and they and their children haven’t been happier to have the dog with them day in and day out. All the more reason to adopt a dog into your home!
