Family Gives Dogs Special Beds

April Livingston | August 9th, 2018

Dani Viverito has been a dog lover since she was a child. She would be on constant lookout for injured or stray animals and would bring them home when she lived with her parents. These days, Dani is an adult but not much has changed when it comes to dogs. So much so, she and her husband now have seven rescue dogs who live in their family home. It started out with adopting dogs in need here and there, and then quickly escalated from there. The couple has been together for over 18 years and have taken in just as many, if not more dogs than 18 during that time.

With so many dogs and corresponding dog personalities under a single roof, there is never a dull moment in their house. For that reason, Dani and her husband keep the dogs on a very strict and organized schedule to maintain order. This is to not only make sure everything goes well, but also to ensure all the dogs are included and don’t feel left out. Most of the dogs get along with one another for the most part, but they have their moments.

Two dogs in particular have some more difficulties, so they get special time away from the other five. But the entire group is on a schedule to give plenty of time for snuggling, going potty, and eating food. They even have designated nap time, and each dog has their own bed to sleep on when that time comes. The dogs have toddler beds, which are the perfect size, and they know when it’s “cookie time” they go to their beds. While having seven dogs at home can be hectic, Dani and her husband wouldn’t have it any other way—and the dogs just love to have their own beds and a loving home!
