A pit bull named Lollipop was found wandering the streets alone near a car wash when she was just 8 months old. The men working at the car wash saw her running around near the busy street, so they tied her up and spent the day giving her food and water and falling in love with her too. A woman named Cathy Officee came to the car wash that day and while she was there she saw Lollipop and came over to pet her. She asked about her and her new friends at the car wash told her what a great dog she was and that she was all alone. That is when Cathy decided to take her home and make sure she never had to wander the streets alone ever again.
Cathy had Lollipop scanned for a microchip, but she did not have one. So, she began driving around the neighborhood where she was found and posted information on social media and even placed lost dog notices at shelters in the area. After all that time and effort, no one stepped forward to claim sweet Lollipop. So, 5 days after meeting the dog at the car wash, she was adopted into Cathy’s family. Now, Lollipop is 3 years old and is a sweet, loving member of her family. She adores her dog brother Isaac and loves to snuggle with her mom.
Cathy and her family moved in with her mother recently, which means Lollipop has three more dog siblings to love. She is particularly protective of her grandmother. The woman is 90 years old and moves slowly using a walker. Lollipop always accompanies her grandmother everywhere she goes, waiting with her as she takes breaks and staring at her lovingly as she walks. Lollipop is protective and patient with her grandmother every step of the way, there to offer support if she is ever needed.
