A woman named Melody Eby recently realized that each time she went into her home’s backyard to play with her two dogs she was being watched. Lucky for her, it isn’t anyone looking to spy on her. Melody and her husband live in South Bend, Indiana and moved into a new home just a year ago. It was then that she realized her new neighbors dogs loved to watch her dogs play through the chain link fence. However, the fence was in bad condition, so she and her husband built a tall wooden fence to replace it. However, this meant the neighbor dogs could no longer watch her dogs as they played in the backyard.
After some time of being unable to see Melody’s dogs, the pair of pups next door hatched a plan. The two little dogs began to dig underneath the fence so they could still see her dogs. Her dogs, a large husky named Fuxx and Maui, a mixed breed, did a double take. They were outside playing when all of a sudden a little face came underneath the fence. So, Fuzz did what any dog would do: he began digging on his side of the fence so he could peer under the fence at the other dogs.
It’s quite a buzzing hub of activity, this hole underneath the fence. The dogs on either side take turns sticking their heads in it, to watch one another as they romp around outside. It seems that while Melody and her husband had not planned to have the arrangement, the dogs just love to be able to see one another. And, she says, they sometimes sneak toys to one another under the fence just for fun. The dogs just love one another and can’t wait to head outside each day to see what their neighbor dog is up to that day.
