Bethany Coleman really never intended to own two dogs. In fact, she and her boyfriend already had their hands full with their current animals. They had a young rescue dog named Rogue and two cats, so there was really no want or need to bring another pup into the mix. Bethany’s boyfriend had even suggested they adopt a dog and she was simply not interested in doing it. The couple lives in an apartment and they knew that they would either be kicked out or struggle to find a new place to live if they had two cats and two dogs. However, Bethany and her dog Rogue went on a walk a few years ago and everything changed.
Bethany and Rogue went to the local farmer’s market and they happened upon a dog that looked like a twin to Rogue. The local shelter had animals for adoption that day and Bethany and her dog Rogue knew it was meant to be. The dog, an eight month old puppy named Beast, was destined to be part of their family. Rogue and Beat were essentially twins separated at birth. Both dogs are the same size, same color, and even have the same wiry cairn terrier coat. People often mistake them for sister and brother. It took some time for them to adjust to having a sibling, but the dogs now love each other and can’t stand to spend a moment apart.
Beast has continued to grow and he’s now double the size of his sister Rogue, but he doesn’t seem to notice. The dogs have found a way to calm one another and make each other feel safe, too. Bethany and her boyfriend recently moved to Hawaii with Beast and Rogue and the little family is adjusting to island life together as a family!
