Sara and Zach Lebwohl have an adorable dog named Prince. Around two years ago, the entire family’s life changed when they added a new addition. They welcomed a daughter named Halle into the family and embarked on a journey of being new parents. But as time passed, they soon realized that they were not alone—someone else was there to help them along the way. That special someone was Prince, their dog. Even before little Halle arrived, Prince was already a dedicated brother. It was as though he knew what was about to happen and he was always by Sara’s side.
So, when little Halle came home as a newborn Prince was very interested in her. He went up to her sniffed her and was very watchful and protective of her—truly acting as a “nanny dog” to the newborn. As Halle has grown up over the last two years Prince’s love for her has only gotten stronger. They are quite the pair and love to spend every moment together. Prince is not only a companion and playmate, but he is also a caretaker. When Halle began sleeping in her own room lately, it was a difficult transition for the toddler.
Prince typically sleeps in his parent’s room and was always the first to jump up and run into Halle’s room when she is upset. Whenever Sara or Zach got up to comfort Halle, Prince would also jump up and join them in her room. So the couple had a great idea: what if they left Halle’s bedroom door and their bedroom door open at night? Could Prince help comfort Halle at night? They gave it a shot one night and luckily for us, the entire thing was caught on camera. Prince can be seen walking into the room as Halle is crying and he rolls around the on floor looks and her and then lays down. Halle watches the entire thing, then lays down herself and falls back to sleep.
What a great dog!
