Martin Hall Jr. is a tow truck driver in California. He was called out to a job in the area of Coulterville, California only for it to fall through. However, that lost job led him right to where he needed to be so that he could help save a man’s life. Martin was driving back home on a series of dirt back roads when he came to a fork in the road and he randomly chose a direction. It ended up being an incredibly important decision. He started driving down the road and that’s when he spotted something strange: there was a dog lying in the middle of the road with a leash attached its collar. Martin assumed the dog was lost, so he pulled his truck over.
However, when he tried to get the dog to come to him, it refused to move from its spot in the road. He tried food, but the dog just wasn’t interested. He couldn’t get close enough to the dog, so he just left it a sandwich and some water and then started to drive away. However, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he shouldn’t leave. Something told him to get out of his truck and try to help the dog again. He felt like the dog was there for a reason and he needed to figure it out.
So, Martin got out of his truck and took a closer look. That’s when he realized there was an older man with a second dog lying just off the road. It turns out the man took his dogs for a walk and then fell and hurt himself nearly 7 hours earlier. He could not stand or move, and his dogs stayed by his side. Martin called 911 and rescuers came to help the man. Marin learned the man had rescued the dogs, and it was time for the dogs to help rescue their owner. The man is now recovering thanks to Martin and his fateful day in his truck!
