When Cynthia Bennett wanted to adopt a dog, she had it in her mind that she wanted a golden retriever puppy. So, in 2014 she had her eye on a retriever mix when attending a local adoption event with her boyfriend. But while at the event and think about that little golden retriever, she noticed a dog named Henry. He was simply sitting off to the side and while Cynthia was told he was only three and half months old, he was a very large puppy. In fact, he was at least five times bigger than every other puppy at the event that day. While his body was similar to that of a husky or wolf, he had incredibly long legs as well.
When she headed over to say hello to Henry, it seems it was love at first sight for both of them. Henry headed straight for Cynthia and curled up in her lap and rested his head on her arm. It was like they were meant to be together. Cynthia adopted the pup and took him back to her home in Colorado, where she and her boyfriend enjoy spending time outdoors hiking. They were thrilled to find that Henry loved the great outdoors just as much as they did and he happily came along on all of their adventures.
Not only did Henry love to be outside, he was also a bit of a daredevil. He climbed to the highest peaks and fearlessly hiked over water and rock to take in all of the beautiful scenery. Recently, Cynthia and her boyfriend decided to add a new member to the family: a rescue kitten. They adopted a little kitten named Baloo who comes along on all the adventures with the family, joining Henry and riding on his head or back to enjoy the scenery. The pair is nearly inseparable now, enjoying every last moment outside.
