Celebrities might seem like they are different than us, but it turns out we are much more similar than you would think. Particularly celebrities who love dogs! Actor Chris Evans, who is most often known for his role as Captain America, is just one of those kinds of dog loving celebrities. Chris does not love any dog, he loves his rescue dog. The pup, whose name is Dodger, was rescued by the actor last year. Back then, he shared a video on social media of the first time he and the dog met. Dodger was in a shelter and he and Chris had an instant connection, even through the bars of a cage.
It is safe to say that Chris and his dog Dodger are the best of friends. Chris frequently posts photos of himself with his dog, sleeping and even licking his face affectionately. It is safe to say that Dodger the dog is grateful for his chance to be out of the shelter and in a loving home now. Chris actually met the dog while he was on location for a film and decided, on a whim, to visit a local shelter. He says he knew from the moment he saw the dog that they were meant to be together.
Chris shared that video on Twitter of the first time he met Dodger, for National Pet Day. “This is the moment we met,” he said on Twitter. “He was trying so hard to stay seated even though he desperately wanted to get out. I knew right away that he was coming home with me, so I took this video to always remember our first hello.”

The tweet quickly went viral and Chris reminded everyone that it was important to adopt and not shop when looking for a dog.
