A little puppy named Spyder had a terrible start to his life at a young age. He and his best friend, another puppy, were dumped on the streets in North Carolina. Both puppies had been neglected beforehand, and were painfully thin and in danger of dying. Spyder managed to survive, but his friend was not so fortunate and ended up passing away. After such a terrible event, Spyder stayed by his friends side because he was seemingly the only friend he had left in the world. Things changed for him though, when someone discovered him on the streets next to his deceased dog friend.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped in to help, which was much needed for Spyder. The puppy was emaciated and sick and really just terrified of everything around him. The rescue group knew his best chance of survival was being placed in a foster home, so that’s exactly what happened. Spending time in the foster home was just what Spyder needed, to heal both emotionally and physically from his ordeal. That happened with time, and his sweet personality and loving nature began to come out as he spent time in the foster home.
A woman named Anne Grasso heard Spyder’s story and knew he was perfect for her family. When Spyder first met her, was too scared to approach her and stayed close to his foster family. After about an hour, however, he warmed up to Anne and fell in love with her right away. Best of all, Spyder, who lost his friend when he was on the streets, now has a brother named Bo. Bo, who typically does not like other dogs, has really bonded with Spyder. They just love to go on walks together and play in the backyard for hours. Spyder has come a long way since his time on the streets and is doing better each day as he learns to trust and love again.
