Abandoned Dog Best Friends Adopted Together

It’s a tale that just might be as old as time itself: two best friends are so much alike that they do everything together. Friends are what make life so rewarding, as they help offer us both support and love through even the toughest of times. But what if those two best friends weren’t human, but rather two dogs that offered the same love and support to one another? That is just the story we have today.

One such incredible story took place at a rural animal shelter in Texas recently. Two sweet pups named Apollo and Adonis were abandoned at a shelter together. These two furry friends were so scared by their unfortunate situation that they did what best friends do when there isn’t much left to be done: they sat in a corner and just held one another. Even when life got scary, Apollo and Adonis had each other to lean on through the tough time. The pair was unfortunately at a high kill shelter, but their luck quickly turned around. A rescue group call A-Team Elite Rescue Dogs heard their story and took them in before it was too late.

The two dogs received much needed medical care and then the search was on for a home for the sweet duo. They were so bonded that it was necessary for them to stay together, which can be difficult when searching for the perfect home. The rescue group used Facebook to share photos of Apollo and Adonis and they were quickly adopted by a family with a big backyard and a lot of love to give.

It took the pair some time to adjust to their new situation and understand that they were finally safe, but with lots of time, love, and comfort the two are doing quite well today.
